About the Role
We are currently building out our Enterprise Application Support Team and are looking for a Data and Business Intelligence Lead to be responsible for the day to day running of the Midwich Group data lake, its business intelligence and customer insight solutions. The new Data & Business Intelligence Lead will also lead in the design and development of impactful reporting, data visualisation and insights for the group to contribute to the definition of BI roadmaps for all group companies, highlighting opportunities for additional value from visualisation.
What you will be doing in this role
• Maintain and provide support to the current Data Lake ensuring all channels of the business receive accurate information in a timely fashion.
• Maintain the security of the data lake for reporting and data. Data Security and insuring compliance with GDPR.
• Use of the full Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence stack to provide the best suitable access to data/reports/analytical data, choosing from within the stack appropriately.
• Investigate and rectify data issues using tools at your disposal or suggest additional toolsets which may contribute or compliment the current tech stack. Report any data quality issues to the appropriate departments for investigation and rectification.
• Manage Data Migration from legacy ERP systems into the new ecosystem.
• Monitor and diagnose issues with daily data feeds and provide root cause analysis on issues.
• Recommend and implement incremental improvements to the BI architecture to maintain currency and be responsible for the design and orchestration of the future architecture.
• Writing new innovative reports for all channels of the business allowing them to make better decisions on the future of the business.
What you will bring to the role
• Expertise in the following platforms and services: PowerBi; Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2; Azure Synapse; Azure Blob Storage; and Azure SQL.
• A sound understanding of technical IT issues to enable discussions with internal and external technical specialists.
• A sound understanding of applications and data security.
• Expertise in one or more D365 Products – F&O, CRM or SCM.
• Experience in a senior role within a professional IT environment planning, maintaining, and supporting business applications.
• Extensive experience of analysing user needs and requirements, mapping process and documenting the results to facilitate the support process.
• Extensive experience in all aspects of providing IT applications support to users in a customer focused environment.
