About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Rental Account Manager – Lighting to join our Rental Sales team to work closely with our Director – Trade Rental and our customers developing relationships, managing quotes and ensuring we succeed in providing the best outcome for our clients. This person will have a deep understanding of the lighting product range, industry landscape, manufacturers, and customer needs within the dry hire sector. The role provides expert insight into industry trends, emerging technologies, and equipment economics, supporting informed decisions around product strategy, pricing, and capital investment.

What you will be doing in this role
Key Responsibilities:
Product, Market & Customer Expertise
• Act as a subject-matter expert on the lighting product range, applications, and capabilities.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the dry hire lighting market across touring, live events, broadcast, and production.
• Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements, buying drivers, and future demand.

Senior Account Management
• Manage and develop senior client relationships where technical product knowledge and market insight are critical.
• Support key accounts with credible advice on lighting equipment selection, specification, and future planning.
• Contribute to long-term account strategies in collaboration with the commercial team.

Manufacturer & Supplier Relationships
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with lighting manufacturers and key suppliers.
• Track manufacturer roadmaps, product launches, availability, and pricing changes.
• Act as a conduit between manufacturers, customers, and internal teams on product-related matters.

Industry Trends & Technology Insight
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in production practice.
• Identify new lighting technologies and product opportunities that support growth and differentiation.
• Translate market and technology insight into clear, actionable recommendations.

Equipment Costing & Commercial Support
• Maintain an accurate understanding of lighting equipment costings, lifecycle value, and utilisation potential.
• Support pricing frameworks with insight into capital cost, depreciation, and return on investment.
• Provide commercial and technical input to support margin protection and sustainable growth.


What you will bring to the role
• Extensive experience in the lighting sector within dry hire, rental, live events, touring, broadcast, or production environments.
• Demonstrable experience in senior account management, managing high value or technically complex accounts where strong product knowledge is required.
• Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and key industry partners.
• Experience interpreting market trends and emerging technologies to inform commercial decisions.
• Strong technical understanding of professional lighting equipment, product ranges, applications, and capabilities.
