About the Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely financial information to help guide business decisions. Collaborating closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help produce & analyse data, identify insights, and contribute to improving performance and profitability, all within a supportive and collaborative team.
What you will be doing in this role
Management accounting:
o Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
o Contributing to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
o Assisting in the analysis of financial performance and the identification for cost reduction and efficiency.
o Assisting with the annual external audit
o Assisting with customer profitability reporting
Financial operations:
o Supporting the maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Continuous improvement:
o Help identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing changes.
Collaboration and communication:
o Collaborate closely with other members of the finance and wider business to provide support for the business.
What you will bring to the role
• AAT qualified or equivalent and you will be working towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/CGMA or equivalent.
• Your experience will demonstrate your financial ability, as well as your approach to accounting principles and practices. You will be able to apply these principles to tasks.
• Strong Excel skills with experience using financial systems.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail
