Every copper port auto-negotiates from 1G to 10G. Existing Cat5E cabling supports 2.5G and 5G connections, allowing businesses to increase network performance without replacing their cabling infrastructure. Dedicated 10G SFP+ fiber uplinks on every model provide high-bandwidth, congestion-free connections to servers, storage, and network backbones.
All four models integrate with the NETGEAR Insight cloud management platform, enabling remote configuration, monitoring, and zero-touch provisioning from a mobile device or web browser. New Insight-managed devices added to the network automatically inherit existing network settings when added, simplifying deployment and expansion. The S3600 Series also includes Smart CLI and SSH support, providing IT teams with a scriptable approach to bulk configuration and automated administration.
Built-in Layer 2+ and Layer 3 lite features - including VLANs, QoS, DHCP services, IGMP Snooping, Link Aggregation, and 802.1x port authentication - support VoIP phones, IP cameras, WiFi access points, and network-attached storage from day one with no additional licensing required.
NETGEAR Pro WiFi Access Points connect directly to S3600 switches through Insight, creating a centrally managed wired and wireless network that can be monitored and controlled from a single dashboard.
