The low profile PCI Express plug-in card format allows the HLink-Optical to be used in compact server cases offering half height x8 PCIe slots, as well as in a full height slot in a Datapath VSN host. The HLink-Optical can be configured to link to a single SLink-Optical as a x8 or two SLink-Optical cards, each operating in x4 mode.
