About the Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant as part of the team at Midwich Ltd, you will be providing information and data to help shape our financial strategies. You'll dig deep into financial data, collaborate across departments, and provide insights that support the company’s financial objectives and optimise our performance and profitability. You'll be part of a strong team of talented individuals who pride themselves on supporting the personal growth of their colleagues.
What you will be doing in this role
• Subsidiary financial control and reporting:
o Assisting in the daily financial monitoring and control of a designated subsidiary.
o Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and reports, including profit and loss statement, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Management accounting:
o Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
o Contributing to the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
o Assisting in the analysis of financial performance and the identification for cost reduction and efficiency.
• Financial operations:
o Assisting in the processing of invoices, payments and reconciliations.
o Supporting the maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.

What you will bring to the role
• You will be working towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CGMA or equivalent.
• Your experience will demonstrate your financial prowess, as well as your approach to accounting principles and practices.
• Excel is your playground, and you wield financial software with finesse.
• Your communication skills are top-notch, making financial jargon relatable.
• Precision and accuracy define your financial reporting style.
