About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, tech focused individual to join our team and play a key role in preparing, maintaining, and organising all demonstration equipment across both audio and lighting categories ahead of customer demonstrations. Working closely with the Heads of Lighting and Application Engineering, this person will take a hands on approach to ensuring all fixtures, consoles, networking hardware, peripherals, and accessories are fully functional, safe, properly configured, and presentation ready for customer demos, internal training, events, and sales activity.

What you will be doing in this role
Prepare and Maintain Demo Equipment
• Prep, test, clean, configure, and safety check all audio and lighting demo equipment, performing basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance when required.
Manage Demo Stock & Logistics
• Maintain accurate demo stock records, track equipment availability, organise storage areas, and coordinate shipping, returns, and internal transfers with clear documentation.
Support Demo Operations & Team Activities
• Build and configure demo systems, assist with patching/networking, and prepare kits for customer visits, training sessions, trade shows, and internal use. Work closely with Product Specialists, Sales, Technical Support and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
Assist Internal Staff & Learning Activities
• Provide basic support to colleagues evaluating products and help with demo setup when needed.
Develop Technical Knowledge for Progression
• Proactively build knowledge of audio/lighting products and workflows, participate in training and shadowing opportunities, and develop confidence in system setup, fault finding, and demo delivery to support future progression into a Product Specialist role.
Customer Interaction Progression
• Ability to liaise with customers regarding demo activity (e.g. check on status of loans, re-call equipment), with occasional travel opportunities to represent the company at key events such as trade shows.
General warehouse support and administration
• Provide cover in the warehouse for sickness and holidays. Support at busy times. Duties to cover goods in / out, moving product, the occasional delivery or collection and tidying warehouse areas.
General office administration
• Provide cover for spares department during periods of holiday or absence
What you will bring to the role
• Experience working with technical equipment (audio, lighting, or related technology).
• Hands on experience preparing, maintaining, or handling equipment in a workshop, warehouse, production, or technical environment.
• Basic understanding of audio or lighting equipment and how it connects or operates.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing, testing, or logging equipment.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to keep storage areas tidy and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines for demo kit preparation.
• Evidence of practical or technical aptitude (work experience or vocational training).
• Comfortable working in a hands on, practical environment involving lifting, preparing, and moving equipment.
