About the Role
We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our Operations team, for 16 hours a week (10am -2 pm, Monday – Thursday) on a temporary basis, to help with the day to day running of our internal café known as the Lime Lounge. This person will be responsible for the services of food and beverages, while operating at high levels of hygiene and food awareness, to all internal customers.
What you will be doing in this role
• Operating an effective café service (food and drink) with an emphasis on high quality and efficient service.
• Maintaining standards and compliance of safety and hygiene as per legislation and other statutory requirements.
• Handling cash and other payments.
• Dealing with customer queries or requests in a polite and efficient manner.
• Managing vending machines.
• Managing Lime Lounge and ground floor refreshment areas, stocking and cleaning on a regular basis.
What you will bring to the role
• Experience of working within a food service/catering environment.
• Level 3 Food Safety Supervision – for catering, retail and manufacturing. Or the will to work towards this certification, supported by Midwich.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Passion for working within the catering and hospitality industry.
• Ability to perform well and remain professional under pressure.
